Santorini in Greece is the largest island of a small, circular archipelago in the southern Aegean Sea approximately 200 kilometers southeast of the mainland with a total land area of 90.623 square kilometers. It derived its name from the iconic caldera of Santorini in the center of the volcanic field including the extinct Christiana Volcano. Its municipality includes two inhabited islands and four uninhabited islands and is part of the Thira regional unit.
